Lauren Moskowitz is an extern at the Columbia University Clinic for Anxiety and Related Disorders. Ms. Moskowitz is currently a doctoral student in clinical psychology at Stony Brook University, where she is a therapist at the Psychological Center and Anxiety Clinic.  She has also been a behavioral parent trainer for parents of children with autism and other developmental disabilities as a fellow for the Developmental Disabilities Institute for the past two years through Stony Brook University. 

Ms. Moskowitz received her B.S. in Human Development from Cornell University in 2000 and went on to become a Research Coordinator at Johns Hopkins University, where she was trained in behavior therapy, and later became a Research Associate at the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill before beginning graduate school at Stony Brook in 2006. She has co-authored several papers as well as a book chapter and has made numerous presentations at conferences and workshops.

Ms. Moskowitz also served as an adjunct lecturer at Hunter College in 2007, co-teaching “Behavioral Theory and Its Applications to Young Children with Special Needs.”  Ms. Moskowitz’s research has focused on behavioral intervention for children with fragile X syndrome. Her current research interests include the assessment and treatment of childhood anxiety disorders and, specifically, anxiety in children with autism and fragile X syndrome. 

Ms. Moskowitz is a member of several professional societies, including the Association for Behavioral and Cognitive Therapies (ABCT) and the Association for Positive Behavior Support (APBS).
